Please make sure that you hand in your forms and your final payment of $245 to either Ms. Pownall or Mr. Atkins. Checks should be made out to Middlefield CI. Payment is due by January 14. It is very important that all forms are correctly filled out. Forms should also be given to either Ms. Pownall or Mr. Atkins.
Ms. Pownall, Ms. Wang, Ms. Regan, and Ms. Dietrich's Gr. 10 Business students are excited to be working on their promotional plan for the annual OBEA contest. The Ontario Business Educators Association conducts provincial contests for students taking business subjects and in September of each year winners are acknowledged at a luncheon held in their honour. Ms. Pownall's Gr. 10 students came third in the province last year
Ms. Pownall and Mr. Atkins were among 45 Economics teachers from across North America who were invited to attend a conference on Property Rights and Incentives in Louisville, Kentuckty in late Sept. The conference was sponsored by the Foundation of Economics and Ms. Pownall and Mr. Atkins look forward to implementing the ideas and strategies from the conference in their classrooms.
